Too good for fish food.

HomeAboutOur Story

A second chance, one ball at a time

Fish Food Golf started with a return to the game.

After almost twenty years away from golf, founder Andrew Cooper picked up the clubs again and was reminded of everything that makes the sport brilliant: the anticipation before a round, the good shots, the terrible ones, the stories afterwards, and the familiar sight of another ball disappearing into the water.

The idea

Plenty of balls recovered from lakes still have a great deal of golf left in them. Yet buying second-life balls can sometimes feel uncertain: grades vary, descriptions are vague and what arrives may not match what you expected.

Fish Food Golf was created to make that experience better. We source professionally recovered lake balls, inspect them individually and grade them with a golfer’s eye. The goal is not to pretend they are new. It is to describe them properly, price them fairly and give quality balls another opportunity to be played.

Built for golfers

We are a small Yorkshire business, and that shapes how we want to do things: straightforward communication, careful standards and a genuine interest in the people buying from us.

Fish Food Golf is not only about what is in the box. We want to build a community around the courses people love, the balls they find, the places they play and the stories that make every round different.

What we stand for

Honest grading and realistic expectations
Useful products rather than throwaway promises
A practical second-life choice for golfers
Friendly service from a real person
A community with room for stories, humour and a little golf mischief

We cannot promise to keep every ball out of the water. We can make sure the good ones are too good for fish food.
